Gala Bingo introduce Teachers Bingo Night

Gala Bingo

Gala Bingo have jumped on the band wagon over recent comments made by the Department for Children, Schools and Families about how playing bingo can be a teaching aid. Sir Alan Steer (governments behaviour expert) made a statement that he guided teachers to let disruptive children play games such as bingo and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

The new Teachers Bingo Night takes place in all Gala Bingo clubs around the country and the main aim is to demonstrate to teachers about how fun playing bingo can be. Previous research has already shown that bingo can improve mental agility and attention span, as well as keeping the brain stimulated. Research like this backs up recent statements about bingo and can act as a warm up before school lessons to help develop faster thinking and numeracy skills.

Simon Longbottom (Managing Director of Galas Gaming Division) commented on recent talk:

We have known for a long time that bingo is not only great for the mind, but is also great for community ties too. Hopefully Britain’s teachers will be able to take something useful away from Gala Bingo’s new initiative as well as enjoying a great night out.
