Mick O’Dwyer has emerged as Paddy Power’s favourite to take over the vacant Mayo manager job.

The most famous man in GAA is being quoted at 8/11 as the five man shortlist has been made public. O’Dwyer’s record is second to none with every team he has managed over achieving.

John Maughan has led Mayo to three All Ireland finals and is second favourite at 9/4 to take on the job for a third time.

The other three candidates are considered outsiders by the bookie at this stage with James Horan priced at 9/2, Denis Kearney at 5/1 and Anthony McGarry the least likely of the lot at 12/1.

Paddy Power bet on next Mayo manager:
8/11 Mick O’Dwyer
9/4 John Maughan
9/2 James Horan
5/1 Denis Kearney
12/1 Anthony McGarry
