The woman captured on CCTV throwing a cat into a wheelie bin outside a house in Coventry has been named as Mary Bale. With death threats from crowds gathering outside her home what’s next for Ms Bale? Paddy Power quotes 7/4 that she will be placed under protective custody and 15/8 that she attempts to appease the mob by making a public apology.

The RSPCA are set to investigate the actions as a case of animal cruelty, Ms Bale is 4/1 to help smooth things over by offering a donation to the charity but is also 7/2 to do a runner and move house. She may decide to show her cat “loving” side by adopting a cat at 33/1 but she is more likely to be banned from keeping pets at 12/1.

Despite her high profile it is 500/1, given the cat lovers outrage at Ms Bale, that she will be made the face of Whiskas.

Roberto Coladangelo spokesman for Paddy Power said; “We are well ware of how passionate cat lovers are in the UK and for someone to be caught on CCTV abusing a cat will cause outrage. It looks likely that Mary Bale will be taken into protective custody for her own safety as the moggy loving mob grows outside her front door.”
