Virgin Poker Background Profile

Virgin Poker was launched in 2004 to provide a fun, entertaining and trustworthy place to play poker online. The poker room is licensed in Malta and is a part of Virgin Games (Malta) Ltd. They hope that Virgin Poker isn't about losing the shirt off your back. They like to think that they're something you can turn to whenever you have a bit of free time and you're looking for a challenge, a bit of fun or some serious action on the poker tables.

Our Overview

Casino BonusVirgin Poker has a fun looking feel to it and is probably the most relaxed poker room on the web.  With the popular Virgin brand they never fail to keep users entertained and they provide excellent customer and technical support should you have any difficulties.  Our Virgin Poker review shows that the actual poker software is nice and easy to use but isn’t the most appealing, however, it’s colour scheme is easy on the eyes and graphics are decent. Virgin Poker offers a number of bonuses including a welcome bonus to all players of £50. Use the link at the bottom of this review page to claim your £50 bonus. Payment methods that are available with Virgin Poker are Mastercard, Visa, NETeller, Solo, Switch, Maestro, Bank Transfer and Check.

What Virgin Poker Customers are saying...
5 / 5 - Since the new Virgin Poker launched I've moved over to play mainly on the site. The main reason for this is simply that I can earn more money on Virgin as the opposition's not as good.

At the $10 stt and mtt level the opposition is fairly loose and definitely beatable - more so than on other site's I play on. There's also seven card stud and five card draw which are good fun.

Virgin has the best loyalty scheme of any site I've played on. It's totally transparent and you can convert loyalty points to cash (1point=1pence) which is handy if like me, you don't earn that many as you play low stakes, and just want to top up your bankroll. For the higher rollers they offer an exchange scheme with Virgin Atlantic flights, and reckon a pro can earn a return trip to Vegas every two months - Not that i'm anywhere near that level, but it sounds good.

Site stability is good - i've had one crash in 6 months and got my money straight back from customer services.

4.5 / 5 - The software is provided by Boss Media. It downloads quickly, installs easily, and has an attractive and user friendly interface. The game range is good and you`ll find bet limits to suit you no matter what your preference is - in fact the spread of stakes is exceptional. There are lots of freerolls and guaranteed tournaments and you can earn loyalty points which you can redeem for Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles.

Virgin Poker also offers a range of supporting information, tutorials and interactive features in addition to its poker room. They take advantage of modern technology to help you improve your game. There are articles to help you learn the game, which include video tutorials and a live poker school. Then there are more advanced master class articles. There is even a poker blog where players can interact. There are resident pros who have proven themselves in the real world, and who contribute articles, and can be found on the blog and on the actual tables as well.

4 / 5 - Virgin's poker site is a new addition to the online poker marketplace - and as you'd expect, the quality of the product is right up there with the market leaders.

Registering and getting to the tables is straightforward and quick. New customers get a deposit-match bonus of up to £50 when they start up - so you've doubled your bankroll before you start. Which is nice.

Once you're into the lobby, there is the usual selection of games on offer. Cash games, single and multi-table tournaments and heads-up games are all available, and the site offers Omaha, 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Draw as well as the obligatory Texas Hold'Em.

One handy feature to the lobby is a tick box which allows you to hide the full tables from the lobby, so you can browse the tables with seats available without having to contend with pages of full tables. It helps you get to the action quicker, which, lets face it, is what you want - and what Virgin want, too. The only disappointment was the option wasn't available for the Tournament tables. Sit and go aficionados would certainly benefit from the feature.

Poker virgins can start on the Practice tables, where they can play for free, with play money, then progress to the real-money tables and start to build their bankroll.

4.5 / 5 - Gameplay is slick and easy to follow. For those who like to multi-task and play while surfing the net (or doing work!), a useful feature of the game makes the window containing the game pop up above your other application windows when it's your turn to act, which means you won't miss your turn.

As you'd expect, Virgin runs regular tournaments, starting from as little as $1 - and the site has a host of handy tutorials to help you get started in the game.
